With young children, the best Caribbean resort is the one that keeps them busy on its own grounds: a kids’ club or children’s programme, pools and an easy beach.
Then pick a suite with room to spread out, so naps and early nights don’t end the day for the adults. These six do both.
Book a Two or Three Bedroom Ocean Front suite, each also offered in a + Study version for an extra room. Long Bay Beach is shallow and sandy, the Kids Club is complimentary, and there are several pools and water activities.
Families usually take the Estate wing, with residences up to five bedrooms, including beach-level residences with pools. The complimentary KidsTown programme, two pools and complimentary kayaks and snorkelling fill the days, 15 minutes from the airport.
The largest hotel at Baha Mar, with suites and residences in its towers. Guests get unlimited access to the Baha Bay water park next door, and the kids’ club takes ages 3 to 12.
Two-bedroom garden, beach and tropical suites are set aside for families on Flamands Beach. Children have their own club, Le Carrousel, with stories of Aru and Naïa, two young Arawak characters.
