Questions

Everything Families Ask Us.

Is the food included in the price?

No — meals are paid as you go. But all of it is right on the property: Cinkō serves glatt kosher dinner inside the Grand Hyatt, Knosh serves cholov yisroel breakfast and lunch on the Hyatt beach, and Shabbos meals are seated at Cinkō. You never have to leave the resort to eat kosher.

Who supervises Cinkō?

Cinkō is glatt kosher under the supervision of Chabad of the Bahamas, and it operates inside the Grand Hyatt.

Do we need to reserve Shabbos meals?

Yes — Cinkō asks for Shabbos reservations by Thursday at noon. We send you the booking link and remind you before the deadline.

What do the Shabbos meals cost?

For a family of four, Friday-night dinner and Shabbos lunch at Cinkō come to about $546 together (October 2026 pricing). Meals are paid at the restaurant.

Where do we eat breakfast and lunch?

Knosh serves cholov yisroel dairy breakfast and lunch on the Hyatt beach. Cinkō serves glatt kosher dinner Sunday to Thursday.

Is there an eruv?

Yes — there is an eruv around the Baha Mar property. It does not include the beach, the boardwalk or the water park.

Is there a minyan?

There is a Shabbos minyan at the Grand Hyatt. For weekday davening, we tell you what is running the week you travel.

Which dates can we choose?

Jan 17–24 or Jan 24–31, 2027 — whichever matches your children's schools.

What is included in the price?

Seven nights in your room for a family of four, taxes included, plus everything we handle: Shabbos seats, the kosher week map, your room request and Menachem on WhatsApp. Meals, flights and transfers are separate — we can add flights and transfers when you book.

What does Shabbos look like, hour by hour?

Friday 7:00pm Kabbalas Shabbos with the minyan at the Grand Hyatt. Friday 7:45pm seated Shabbos dinner at Cinkō. Shabbos morning Shacharis with the Shabbos minyan. Shabbos 12–2pm seated lunch at Cinkō. Motzei Shabbos, the Knosh truck opens 30 minutes after Shabbos.

What is there for the kids?

Baha Bay water park is unlimited for guests. There are shallow pools for little ones, family suites with bunk beds, and a cabana day if you want one.

What are the prices based on?

2 adults and 2 children 12 and under sharing one room, 7 nights, taxes and resort fee included, refundable rate, priced Oct 17, 2026. Jan 17–24: Fountain View Reserve $4,170, Ocean View Balcony $4,381 (Fountain View and Ocean View are gone that week). Meals are paid at the restaurant. Subject to availability, confirmed in writing before you book. Flights, transfers and a cabana day can be added.

We have teenagers. Does the price change?

Kids 12 and under stay free in the room. Teens 13 and up are priced as adults, about $247 more per teen for the week (Fountain View, Jan 24–31: $3,322 with one teen, $3,570 with two). Hyatt’s own Yeshiva Break rate is the same for teens, so you still pay well under booking direct. Send us your kids’ ages and we’ll price it exactly.

Do kids eat free at Cinkō?

Cinkō’s own policy is that children under 5 dine free during regular service hours. Ask us and we’ll confirm how that applies on your Yeshiva Week dates.

What if we have to cancel last minute, for sickness or an emergency?

Your rate is fully refundable until one week before check-in. After that the hotel keeps the deposit and rarely makes exceptions, so for last-minute emergencies we recommend travel insurance, which can reimburse a medical cancellation with a doctor’s note.
