Open the offersAnguilla is a flat, 16-mile-long coral island north of St. Maarten with 33 beaches and a handful of offshore cays. It has no cruise port and no casinos, and its resorts sit mainly on Meads Bay, Rendezvous Bay and Maundays Bay.
The island’s most popular beach, a stretch of white sand of roughly one to two miles on the northeast coast with an offshore reef for snorkeling and a line of beach bars.
A long, calm beach on the west end with several of the island’s main resorts and restaurants.
Stay nearby: Four Seasons Resort and Residences AnguillaA sweeping two-mile beach on the south coast with shallow water and a direct view across the channel to St. Martin.
Stay nearby: Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf ClubA crescent beach on the southwest coast occupied by the Cap Juluca resort.
Stay nearby: Cap Juluca, A Belmond HotelA small sand cay about five minutes by boat off Sandy Ground, with a single beach restaurant and snorkeling.
Two uninhabited cays northwest of Anguilla visited by boat for snorkeling and a beach lunch.
A small cliff-backed cove on the north coast reachable only by boat or by a rope descent down the hillside; usually deserted.
The island’s busiest beach village and nightlife hub, departure point for dive trips and host of the biggest boat races, including the March regatta.
A working fishing village on the east end with brightly painted wooden boats; the two-minute boat to Scilly Cay leaves from its dock.
A collapsed cave in Island Harbour with Amerindian petroglyphs dated roughly AD 600 to 1200; visits require a reservation through the Anguilla National Trust.
