Christmas week runs Dec 19 to 26, 2026. On Maui’s sunny southwest coast, Wailea Beach has swimming and snorkelling straight off the sand.
For three generations, start with the room: a villa with its own pool and kitchen, a multi-bedroom suite, or a Residential Suite where everyone can gather. Then a resort with a kids’ programme and a quiet pool for the grown-ups. These four have both.
The two- and three-bedroom villas are private two-story oceanfront houses with a full kitchen and a private pool; the rest of the resort is one-bedroom suites of 860 square feet with a living room and lanai, plus the Ohana Family Suite. It is Hawai’i’s only all-suite and villa oceanfront resort, on 22 acres of Polo Beach with three pools.

Suites run from one to four bedrooms, and the Club Floor rooms come with lounge access. Children five to twelve join the complimentary Kids For All Seasons programme while the adults-only infinity pool with a swim-up bar stays calm, on 15 oceanfront acres of Wailea Beach.

The 107 Residential Suites come in one and two bedrooms with kitchens, dark wood floors and marble bathrooms, in garden, ocean view and ocean front. Children have their own pool beside the three-tiered 10,000-square-foot main pool, and Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment program runs on 54 acres at Maui’s northwestern tip.

Ask for the Napua rooms and suites, the private club-level side of the resort, or one of the Alii, Honua Ula, Molokini and Wailea Suites. The Wailea Canyon pools have slides, a lazy river and a Tarzan swing for the grandchildren, and the adults-only Hibiscus Pool is the quiet one.
