Presidents’ Week 2027 runs Feb 13 to 21, with New York City public schools off Feb 15 to 19. That is long enough to make the trip to Maui worth it.
With school-age children, look for a resort with a kids’ programme or a children’s pool, then a suite with more than one bedroom so the adults have their own space. These four deliver both, three of them on the sunny Wailea coast.

Four Seasons, Grand Wailea and Fairmont Kea Lani are in Wailea on the south coast, on Wailea Beach and Polo Beach. The Ritz-Carlton is inside Kapalua Resort on the northwestern tip. All four are reached from Kahului (OGG).
