A pool at the edge of the view.

Twenty-nine open-walled sanctuaries rise above the Anse Chastanet estate; 24 have private infinity pools reached by their own bridges. The five SKY suites run about 1,650 square feet on two levels, with a raised jacuzzi open to the view.

The rooms are deliberately techno-free, dinner is Jade Cuisine at the residents-only Jade Mountain Club, and the Celestial Terrace is for sunset and stars. It is the only resort on Saint Lucia with its own heli-pad.

Our pick

Which one we’d book.

For a couple who wants the biggest room and pool: Jade Mountain. An infinity-pool sanctuary, and a Moon, Sun or Galaxy Sanctuary carries the larger credit.

For adults travelling together or a hiking couple: Ladera. Adults only, the 2-Bedroom Villa La Fleur, and the Piton trail on property.

Questions, answered.

Which is better for a multi-generation group or older kids?

For a group of adults, such as parents with grown children, Ladera: it is adults only and has the 2-Bedroom Villa La Fleur, with a closed fourth-wall option and air conditioning. At Jade Mountain, each couple books its own sanctuary.

Which is better for couples?

Both are built for couples. Jade Mountain gives you a private infinity pool reached by its own bridge; Ladera gives you a heated plunge pool, an open wall onto the Pitons and an adults-only setting.

How do they differ?

Jade Mountain has 29 sanctuaries above the 600-acre Anse Chastanet estate, with two beaches below and its own heli-pad. Ladera has 37 suites on the ridge between the Pitons, inside the UNESCO site, with a hiking trail and mineral spring hot tubs on property.

Is the rate the same as booking direct?

Yes. The nightly rate is the hotel’s own best available rate. Booked through us, each adds an upgrade when available, daily breakfast for two, a resort credit and early check-in or late check-out, confirmed in writing.

Do I pay you or the hotel?

You pay the hotel directly. We confirm availability and the rate, attach the extras in writing and hold the suite.
