Mexico for families · Our shortlist
Clubs for the kids. Suites for all.

The best kid-friendly luxury resorts in Mexico pair a real children’s program with rooms that work for a family: two-bedroom suites, residences and villas with their own pools.
On the Los Cabos side, a swimmable beach matters too. These seven, across Los Cabos, the Riviera Maya, Cancún and Tulum, have the mix right.

Families book the Marea two-bedroom suites with private pools, the three-bedroom Coastal View and Ocean View Residences, or Casa Twin Dolphin with four bedrooms. Paintbox is the children’s program, with three pools, walk-in snorkeling and recreational lawns.

Three-bedroom villas sleep up to eight with a kitchen, terrace and private pool, and the four-bedroom penthouses go bigger. Children aged five to eleven have the resort’s kids’ club.

The Sky Villas run from three to five bedrooms, including the Four Bedroom Signature Sky Villa. The resort sits on a protected cove with one of the few swimmable beaches in Los Cabos, and coral reefs and sea turtles a short way out.

An all-inclusive on the quiet Playa Mujeres strip north of Cancún, built with a family-friendly side with kids’ programming and a separate adults-only area. Three generations each get their own version of the trip.

Book the Mayakoba Two-Bedroom Suite, or one of the villas of two to six bedrooms between jungle, lagoon and beach. Every suite has an open floor plan, an oversized terrace and 24-hour butler service.

Suites and villas, many with private pools, on the Sea of Cortez side of Los Cabos where the water is calm enough to swim from the beach. Villas and Residences carry the largest resort credit, and private roundtrip airport transfers come with the booking.

The Family Village Suite is the room for a family at this beachfront mansion turned hotel. Contemporary art from Lio Malca’s own collection, KAWS and Keith Haring included, hangs on the walls.

The children’s ages decide the resort: a kids’ club, a swimmable cove or a villa with its own pool. Send us your dates and who’s coming, and we’ll match the suite.
